Call for Admissions: 2-Yr. M. Pharm. (Pharmaceutics)

About the Course
The Central University of Rajasthan is seeking admission to a Two-year Masters Programme in Pharmacy (M Pharm.-Pharmaceutics) from Academic Year 2017-18. Pharmaceutics is a branch of pharmacy which is involved in the design, development and characterization of different dosage form for the safe and effective delivery of different drug/bioactive molecules.

About the Department
Established in the year 2012 the Department of Pharmacy is successfully running the PhD programme in Pharmacy and Master of Pharmacy (Pharmaceutical Chemistry). Faculty members are well experienced with excellent research credentials. In this short span of time department has published more than 60 research/review articles in various national and international journals. The departmental faculty has been sanctioned with different research project grants (amounting more than 2 Crore INR) from various agencies such as DST, DBT, Rajasthan DST, UGC, CSIR etc. The department has also been recently awarded with DST-FIST grant.

A pass in the following examinations-B. Pharm degree examination of an Indian University established by Law in India from an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India and has scored not less than 55% of the maximum marks (aggregate of four years of B. Pharm). Provided that- (a) There shall be reservation of seats for the students belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Government/State Government/Union Territory Administration, as the case may be, from time to time. (b) For SC/ST candidates the prescribed percentage of marks will be 50% of the maximum marks (aggregate of four years of B. Pharm) (c) Every student, selected for admission to postgraduate pharmacy course in any of the pharmacy institution in the country should have obtained Registration with the State Pharmacy Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of his admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.

Course Structure

Sem.I: Modern Pharmaceutical Analytical Techniques, Modified Release Drug Delivery Systems, Modern Pharmaceutics, Cosmetics and Cosmeceuticals, Pharmaceutics Lab I and II, Research Seminar-I/Assignment.

Sem.II: Advanced Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics, Computer-aided Drug Delivery Systems, Molecular Pharmaceutics (Nano Tech and Targeted DDS), Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and Clinical Pharmacokinetics, Elective Subject, Pharmaceutics Lab III and IV.

Sem.III: Research Methodology and Regulatory Affairs, Research Seminar-II/Journal Club, Research Project.

Sem.IV: Research Seminar-III/Journal Club, Research Project
